District Champs!!!!

Mena- The Spring Hill Jr. Bears and Jr. Lady Bears traveled to Acorn to compete in the 2A District 7 Track Meet. Spring Hill's Jr. Track Teams competed very well in the meet as they Boys team won District with 187 total points outscoring Murfreesboro by 48 points and the girls placed 3rd. Great performances by many individual athletes including Karson Hamilton winning the 100M, 400M, and High Jump. Maddox Dickson won the Shot Put and Luke Harper won the 300M Hurdles. Keira Cantwell, Sarah Poindexter, Knightly Porter, and Kayla Ford each had top 5 finishes for the Lady Bears.

High Jump- Keira Cantwell 9th place

Long Jump- Layla Cantwell 13th, Zoey Varner 14th, Alyssa Porter 24th

Triple Jump- Zoey Varner 8th

Discus- Sarah Poindexter 12th, Layla Cullipher 20th

Shot Put- Izzy Phillips 6th, Maddy Townsend 16th, Layla Cullpepper 17th, Lerena Altimaro 20th

100M- Sarah Poindexter 10th, Emma Murphy 11th, Zoey Varner 18th, Keira Cantwell 25th

200M- Sarah Poindexter 5th place, Madsyn Vickers 15th, Emma Murphy 16th

400M- Knightly Porter 4th place, Zoey Myers 6th, Madsyn Vickers 7th

1600M- Jorgia Coffee 8th, Sophie Robb 9th, Raegan Cato 14th, Ella Flowers 15th

100M Hurdles- Kayla Ford 4th, Zoey Varner 6th, Layla Cantwell 13th, Knightly Porter 16th

300M Hurdles- Keira Cantwell 3rd, Zoey Myers 5th, Brooklyn Cook 11th

4x100 Relay- 3rd place

4x200 Relay- 3rd place

4x400 Relay- 3rd place

4x800 Relay- 5th place

The Jr. Boys just flat out dominated the field events in the District Meet with 5 different athletes (Karson Hamilton, Jaxon Smith, Jackson Putz, Maddox Dickson, Andrew Carillo) earning 1st or 2nd in their respected events.

High Jump- Karson Hamilton 1st place, Jackson Putz 4th, Andrew Carillo 4th, Mason Moore 9th

Long Jump- Jaxon Smith 2nd, Jackson Putz 8th, Karson Hamilton 12th, Mason Moore 17th

Triple Jump- Jackson Putz 2nd place, Jaxon Smith 4th, Brandon Martin 6th, Wynn Willson 9th

Pole Vault- Andrew Carillo 2nd place, Jaxon Smith 4th

Discus- Maddox Dickson 4th place, Jaxon Smith 10th, Andrew Carillo 16th, Parker Steed 20th

Shot Put- Maddox Dickson 1st Place, Luke Harper 14th, Landon Camp 15th, Parker Steed 19th

100M- Karson Hamilton 1st place, Jaxon Smith 4th, Jackson Putz 5th, Mason Moore 8th

200M- Karson Hamilton 2nd, Maddox Dickson 12th, Wesley Harper 14th, Brandon Martin 15th

400M- Karson Hamilton 1st place, Mason Moore 9th, David Banks 12th, Greyson Stout 18th

800M- Jackson Putz, Kannon Fielding 9th

1600M- Jackson Putz 3rd, Andrew Carillo 7th, Reed Fisher 9th, Cohen Ratcliff 11th

Great showing by the Jr. Bears and Jr. Lady Bears athletes and Coach Smith and Coach Kidd have a lot to look forward too with their track program.
