State Response Summary From the Arkansas House of Representatives; Arkansas State Parks Make Announcements on Camping, Rentals

Arkansas State Parks made several announcements today:

Camping for self-contained RVs for in-state residents can resume on May 1.

On May 15, cabins, lodges and RV rentals will be available to in-state residents on Friday-Monday.

Park restaurants and food service facilities, museums and exhibits, retail including visitor centers and gift shops, marinas and rental equipment will open back up to the public beginning May 15. The high use trails which were previously closed by the agency will remain closed for now.

The Governor will announce a decision for restaurants state wide tomorrow.

The White House has said it will help supply Arkansas with needed testing equipment. The Governor expects the state to meet the 2% testing threshold in May.
