Statewide Internet Outage Reportedly Due to Cut Fiber Line
UPDATE: 1-8-2020: Information about what happened is still limited but according to a representative from AT&T, the damaged fiber was repaired and service should be restored to all customers in the area at this time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

T&T customers across the state as well as schools and other state entities are experiencing internet outages as a result of a fiber line being cut.

According to information from the Arkansas Office of Information Services, a cut fiber line is the cause of the service interruption and they are not able to give an estimated time for the repair to be made.

AT&T customers and numerous state agencies appear to be the the only ones affected at this time.

Affected State Agencies: ACC, ADH, AFIS, APSCN, DAH, DHS, FORESTRY, OCSE, DFA

Affected Cities: Alpena, Arkadelphia, Ash Down, Bismarck, Camden, Donaldson, El Dorado, Fouke, Foreman, Hampton, Hope, Hermitage, Jersey, Lewisville, Magnolia, Malvern, Monticello, Mountainburg, Mount Ida, Nashville, Taylor and Warren.
