July 30, 2024 On Saturday, July 27, 2024, Arkansas State Police (ASP), along with law enforcement agents from the 2nd District Drug Task Force, West Memphis Police Department, and the Marion Police Department, conducted an 11-hour operation targeting criminal activity in Crittenden County. During the operation, ASP seized seven firearms, including a fully automatic Blackout AR rifle and two stolen weapons. Additionally, ASP seized illegal narcotics, marijuana and methamphetamine. Law enforcement agents made 637 officer/violator contacts, resulting in 37 people being arrested and taken into custody. Six felony warrants were served, 13 people were cited for Driving While Intoxicated and 26 speeding citations were issued. “This is another great example of the relationship the Arkansas State Police has with our law enforcement partners and the commitment each of us shares in protecting the citizens of the State of Arkansas,” said Captain Philip Hydron, ASP Troop D Commander.
