Carroll along with two other persons fled last night from the State Police after a pursuit ended near County Road 1540 and 67 West. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and a female surrendered a short time later and are in custody at the Hempstead County Jail. 

Carroll fled into a wooded area where officers heard a gunshot. A search overnight has continued today with the Department of Corrections Dog team from Malvern joining the search.

Carroll is armed and considered dangerous, if seen do not approach call 911.
