Texarkana— July 18, 2022 - Southwest Arkansas Counseling & Mental Health Center (SWACMHC) and Unite Us will be working together in our region. By combining SWACMHC's commitment to serving southwestern Arkansas with the care coordination platform known as Unite Arkansas, we can achieve our mutual mission: to create a healthier, more successful, and more equitable health and social service system for all the underserved communities in our area. Â
The Unite Arkansas network brings together health, human, and social care providers serving a variety of individuals’ needs (including food insecurity, housing, transportation, and beyond). As a Community Champion for Unite Arkansas, SWACMHC looks forward to the impact that the growing network of collaborative providers will have on serving the many needs in our community. Joining this network is at no cost to non-profit organizations.Â
” The no cost platform for non-profits is a game changer”. Jason Campbell, Marketing Director, SWACMHC, “We, like many community-based providers, have spent years building and revising lists of local organizations that provide services to some of our counties most vulnerable members. Referrals for food pantries, utility assistance, childcare or housing assistance are a daily function for many of our case managers and therapists. Often, we find non-profits both in their infancy as well as established nonprofits and community-based service providers that once were an immediate go to, have quietly closed or simply changed their phone number or provider locations, limiting or eliminating that option until new information can be tracked down. Having the ability to search on one network that we can all access and make referrals allows each of us the opportunity to make changes as needed in real time”.Â
SWACMHC will be co-hosting two collaborative community information zooms with Tricia Moore and Danika Mills from Unite Arkansas and our community partners. Register for either/or both July 20th, 2022, at 2pm or July 26th at 10am through Eventbright or find the event and links to sign up on Facebook @swacmhc.inc. Â
