FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas forward Ava Tankersley was named the SEC's Offensive Player of the Week after recording five points last week, the league announced Monday.
Tankersley had a hand in both of No. 3 Arkansas’ wins this week. On Thursday, in the SEC opener, Tankersley made a crucial assist to help net the game-winner against LSU to give the Hogs their first SEC win of 2024. On Sunday against Missouri, Tankersley netted her second brace of the season to lead the Hogs past Missouri, 8-2. Tankersley leads the team in assists (6) and points (20).
The graduate led the SEC in goals (2) and points (5) during the opening week of league play.
The weekly honor is Tankersley’s third overall and first since the 2022 season.
Tankersley and the Razorbacks return to action on Thursday and will face Vanderbilt for the Hogs’ first SEC road match.
