Tenth annual crawfish boil held at Prescott City Park
The Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce’s 10th annual Crawfish Boil started late Friday afternoon at City Park with an onslaught of eager mudbug lovers who arrived to pick up orders, Chamber Executive Director Jamie Hillery said.

“We had our biggest rush at four o'clock, and we got a lot of our big orders out of here. Pafford had 30 plates so that was a real big one,” Hillery said. “It’s going good so far.  We've completely sold out, so we're happy.  It's been a good time. We have people staying and eating and snow cones and all that good stuff.”

The chamber contracted with Lagniappe Specialty Meats of Texarkana, Arkansas to boil crawfish, shrimp, corn on the cob and potatoes for those who ordered ahead from an assortment of options. There was also a Hurricane Henry’s Shaved Ice truck on site.

At the event, there were kids playing, zydeco music turned up and even local beauty queens helping serve. As Hillery said, “We created this for the community to be able to come out and enjoy food and fellowship and music and have a good time together.”
