The Bears would win the game going wire to wire, as they grabbed the lead early, and never surrendered it, topping the Eagles 62-54. "Resilient, we got some huge minutes off the bench, we continued to play hard, we went 10-10 from the FT line in the fourth quarter, so proud of these kids," Coach Blevin Boyd said after the Bears impressive win to finish the District Tournament. The defense was great for Spring Hill.
Maverick Mills and Grant Hudman each torched the nets for 19 points. Both Mills and Hudman did a great job of getting some big buckets when their team needed them too. Karson Hamilton scored 13 points, including 6 points in the fourth quarter. Kaleb Anderson scored points, Jett Durham scored 4 and Reese Tarver hit a big layup late in the game. Grant Hudman, Jett Durham, and Kaleb Anderson combined to go 10/10 in the final quarter from the free throw line to secure the win.
With the win, the Bears are the 1-seed in the Regional Tournament in Poyen beginning on Wednesday night. Spring Hill is set to tip-off at 8:30 against Hampton.
