The Hempstead County Historical Society Marks Hope’s 150th Anniversary With Time Capsule Reveal on April 22
Did you know that this year Hope, Arkansas has been in existence for 150 years? In 1975, the City of Hope also celebrated 100 years and made a time capsule to be opened this year. The time capsule was opened by the City of Hope at the birthday celebration a week ago at Hope City Hall. Come see what items were put in the time capsule as gifts to the current residents of Hope.

The Hempstead County Historical Society will meet on Tuesday evening April 22, 2025 at the Tailgaters Burger Company Annex Room in Hope, Arkansas at 7pm. The room is located at 101 South Main Street. Everyone is welcome.

The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County. Come and share your history with us.
