Bryant- The Sound of Hope Marching Band loaded up and headed to Bryant on Saturday morning for their first marching competition of the school year. Twelve bands were scheduled to perform in the preliminaries, beginning with Hope at 12pm. The Sound of Hope put on a great display of musicianship and visual art, while featuring music from Linkin Park, Snow Patrol, and David Guetta. The Sound of Hope had very good results in the prelims, earning 1’s in Color Guard and Percussion, Overall Outstanding Visual Performance in 5A and finished 2nd Overall in 5A. Ten of the twelve bands Saturday were selected to perform in the finals Saturday evening, with Hope being one of the selected bands. Hope was slotted for a 5:55pm performance and would perform extremely well in their second performance, earning 9th overall while competing against mostly 6A and 7A schools. Hope has been working extremely hard and look to be well prepared for an opportunity to compete for a 5A State Championship this year.
