A group met in the parking lot in front of El Agaves today to continue a long-standing tradition. For many years now, David Johnson has arranged for Hope watermelons to be sent to Fayetteville as a tasty treat for the Arkansas Razorbacks Football Team. Joining in the fun today were Pafford Medical Services, City Board Director Steve Montgomery, and other local volunteers who showed up to lend a hand. After the melons were loaded, the truck and Tyson driver, Mr. Troy, rolled out onto North Hervey to begin the first leg of the trip. These melons are now Fayetteville-bound and the Razorbacks will soon get a sweet little slice of the Hope life.
