The coffee was catered by Amigo Juan Mexican Restaurant with a decadent spread of hors -d’oeuvres; shrimp tacos, chicken salad croissants, chips, queso, pork chipotle, bacon wrapped steak bites, and a fancy fruit tree with a brie cheese star while deserts consisted of a variety cheesecake squares and cups.
Lance & Associates began hosting this Christmas Community Coffee in 2006, and Owner/Principal Broker Steve Lance said the team was delighted to be continuing the tradition. "This coffee is just one of the exciting things that we do and part of the tradition we’ve kept over the years, hosting Lance & Associates coffee at the very end of the year. It's a fun time for us to kind of decorate the office & celebrate the holidays with our incredible friends and family in this town. It is always humbling how many people come out to the coffee. Everyone in the community has been very supportive, and that is the foundation on which we built our business. This is a people business and people matter to us. We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas,” Lance said.
This year, with the addition of agent Lizzy Hale, the Lance & Associates team continues to grow. Lance said a few words about her joining the agency, “Lizzy is great fit for Lance & Associates, she’s energetic, friendly and has fast become family.”
People you know, people you trust isn’t just a tagline for them, it is a way of life. It’s just one of the special qualities that our little town called Hope has come to appreciate about Lance & Associates Real Estate.
Lance said his agents (Lindsey Townsend, Trenace McGinnis-Stuart and Lizzy Hale) are like family to him. "That's the way we operate," he said. "Hopefully, we treat folks that same way and they feel it in our everyday business, as well as here today."
Executive Broker Lindsey Townsend shared in the appreciation of community festivities. "Every year, we look forward to hosting this coffee and inviting the community in for a fun holiday event where we can just enjoy spending time together," Townsend said.
Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Christy Burns was in attendance and said, “Lance & Associates is a crucial part of our community here in Hope. They are very supportive and involved and always go above and beyond.”
Local citizens roamed about as they talked about the upcoming Christmas holiday and plans for the new year while enjoying their hot cocoa and cider. By all accounts, it seems the community enjoys this annual event just as much as the Lance & Associates team does. As the Coffee wound down to a close and people cheerfully accepted their parting gifts of a Lance & Associates tall tumblers and cozy gloves, many could be heard wishing Lance, Townsend, McGinnis-Stuart, Hale, and fellow guests a very merry Christmas. The joy of the holiday and the camaraderie of community were abundant this morning at the Lance & Associates Christmas Community Coffee.
