Vice Mayor, Kiffinea Talley was present and said a few words at the grand opening, “Thank you all for coming today to show your support for this new business. The City of Hope is very excited and honored to welcome the Vibes Grooming Lounge and Retail. This is exciting because it shows that economic growth for our city and with that you appreciate it,” Talley said.
She then turned it over to owner/stylist, Darione Pridgeon, “I am a Hope native, born and raised. My first location, Vibes Grooming Lounge, is in downtown Dallas and now I am proud to have my second location back home. We provide nothing but top quality service and hair styles, hair cuts, shaves, facials, retwists, braids, and retail. We also resale clothing, so come check us out,” Pridgeon said with pride.
Executive director of the Hope Hempstead County chamber of commerce, Christy Burns said, “I am super pumped to have Pridgeon join our community of businesses, and I wish him all the success that I know this town can provide.”
The lounge has a chill atmosphere with a pleasing tasteful aesthetic that whispers, you’re at home here.
After the ribbon was officially cut, refreshments were served to guests in the back. Everyone who attended the grand opening seemed to enjoy the ‘Vibe’ of Vibes. Be sure to stop by and show them your support.
