Hope, Arkansas— October 7, 2021 — Southwest Arkansas Counseling & Mental Health Center, INC. (SWACMHC) would like to invite members of Hempstead and surrounding counties in joining our Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC) director Sarah Langehenning and members of the TFC team at El Agaves Mexican Restaurant, 501 N Hervey St. Hope AR. Beginning at noon Friday October 8th 2021.

Ms. Langehenning states, “After having lost our TFC homes in Hempstead County during this year’s health crisis we were looking for a creative way to meet potential TFC families in Hempstead County, specifically, with a more relaxed feel than an invitation to an office.  We feel fortunate that El Agaves agreed to allow us to visit for lunch and invite the community to join us if they choose”.  Langehenning continues, “It’s our hope that through these more casual, sit down, visits in local restaurants we can meet with more potential foster families.” 

Therapeutic Foster Care is designed to give children a safe environment to call home when being pulled away from their own.  Therapeutic care is designed to meet the needs of children with more severe behaviors than traditional foster care. 

Anyone interested in attending this event will be responsible for the payment of their own meal should they choose to dine in.
