As Sheriff, I want to extend my heartfelt congratulations to Chief Deputy Mickey Atkinson, Civil Clerk Joycelyn Trotter and Detention Officer David Flores for reaching an incredible milestone—30 years of dedicated service with the Hempstead County Sheriff's Office. This is an outstanding achievement that reflects your unwavering commitment, perseverance, and loyalty to our community. Throughout three decades of service, they have demonstrated an exceptional level of professionalism and dedication, contributing significantly to the safety and well-being of Hempstead County. Their collective experience, knowledge, and leadership have made a lasting impact on our department, setting a standard of excellence for all who follow in their footsteps. Chief Deputy Atkinson’s leadership and steadfast dedication to duty have been instrumental in guiding our team through many challenges. Officer Flores, commitment to maintaining order and safety within our detention facilities has been exemplary. Clerk Trotter, your diligence and attention to detail in the civil division have ensured the smooth operation of essential services. Their combined efforts have not only strengthened our department but have also earned the respect and trust of the community we serve. We are incredibly fortunate to have had the benefit of their service over these many years, and we look forward to continuing to work alongside them as we move forward together. On behalf of the entire department, I want to express our deepest appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
