Trick or Treat on Elm Street draws the scaries to Prescott for candy, good cheer

Trick or Treat on Elm Street draws the scaries to Prescott for candy, good cheer
Prescott’s Trick or Treat on Elm Street event, which took place on the eastern and northern sides of the Nevada County Courthouse drew costumed kids and their often also costumed parents downtown, starting this evening a little after 5:00 p.m.

Minions, Godzillas, Spiderkids, Scooby Doos, walking skeletons, escaped convicts and more dubious characters lined up with their bags and plastic Jack-O’Lanterns to go by dozens of tables where community groups that included church members, public agencies, companies, unions and political campaigners gave out the good stuff.

The event, organized by the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce, brought an even larger crowd that last year.  After an hour, kids and their families were still joining the line.  We took our share of photos to give you as much of a sense as possible of what Halloween Eve was like in downtown Prescott.
