Locals filled the café in support of the new go to eatery, visiting one another while snacking on tasty refreshments; biscotti, cinnamon rolls, strawberries, pineapple, grapes, and blueberries were served along with a sample of their fabulous chicken salad and pita crackers.
Before the ribbon was cut, Mayor Don Still welcomed the crowd, “I want to welcome Two Crumbs to Hope. I have heard some really good things from the community, and I am always proud when a new business comes into town,” Still said.
Owners Mark and Tara Flemming along with Melina Adams expressed gratitude and talked a little about their excitement for the ribbon cutting, “We just want to thank everyone for coming out. We are so excited to be in this location. We were in Martin's for two years, so the transition was just awesome. We appreciate every person who has supported us throughout this endeavor and hope to continue serving the community delicious food in the years to come,” The sweet (Adams) and savory (Flemming) queens of Two Crumbs said.
Executive Director of the Hope Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce, Christy Burns said, “Two-Crumbs is a great addition to our growing number of cafés and eateries here in Hope. They have done well, and I know they will continue to set the bar high with all their incredible quality menu items.”
