The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana will offer a beginner-friendly Canva design course in February, providing participants with practical skills to create professional-quality digital and print designs with no prior design experience required.

The two-session course will be held on February 2 and February 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on the Hope campus. Participants will learn how to use Canva’s intuitive platform to design social media graphics, flyers, presentations, and other visual materials for personal or professional use.

Designed for students, small business owners, educators, and creative beginners, the course focuses on hands-on instruction that participants can apply immediately. Topics include navigating Canva with confidence, using templates versus designing from scratch, understanding basic design principles such as color, fonts, and layout, and exporting and sharing finished designs. A free Canva account is sufficient for the course.

The cost is $45 for both sessions or $25 for a single session.
