Maddox Stone, an 11th-grade student in the Arkansas High Collegiate Academy at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT), has been named a 2025 Leadership Texarkana Wilbur Awards YOUTH Honoree. Stone has emerged as a commendable leader through his participation in the UAHT Collegiate Academy, where he is a full-time college student, and the EAST program, where he revitalized the Rail Safety Project to promote safe behavior around railroad tracks. He collaborates with Senior Special Agent Darin Archer to strengthen ties with the railroad system and inspires his peers to engage in community service projects, such as greenspace initiatives and food pantry assistance. Despite his extensive involvement, Maddox maintains a high academic standing on the honor roll and channels his passion for trains into leading impactful projects, making him a positive role model in Texarkana. Maddox stated that this award highlights how beneficial a positive attitude towards school can be and credits the collegiate academy for helping him realize his potential.
