UAHT Expands Local Bachelor’s Degree Opportunities
Director Spotlight: University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT)

The Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce is proud to spotlight University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT) and their exciting new partnership with the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) — expanding access to affordable bachelor’s degrees right here in our community!

Through this innovative campus-within-a-campus model, students on the Hope and Texarkana campuses can now complete all four years locally — beginning as UAHT students for their first two years and continuing as UAM students for their junior and senior years.

 Degrees Offered:
K–6 Elementary Education (starting May 2026)
Business Administration (starting August 2026)

Students will earn an associate degree from UAHT and a bachelor’s degree from UAM, while paying UAHT tuition for the first two years and UAM tuition for the final two. Even better, eligible students may receive the Iron Horse Transfer Scholarship$3,000 per semester after completing 55 credit hours with a 2.5 GPA or higher.

This partnership helps remove barriers, keeps students close to home, and strengthens workforce development across our region. We’re proud to have UAHT as a Director Circle member and a leader in advancing education in Hope and Hempstead County.
