United Way of Hempstead County proudly announces its 4th Annual Gala on Thursday, October 16, followed by the Glenn Woodruff Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, October 17. This two-day event will benefit more than a dozen local nonprofits through grant funding, supporting crucial services across the county.

Organizations supported include 4-H, Christian Charitable Medical Clinic, Domestic Violence Prevention, Harvest Regional Food Bank, The CALL, Hope’s 1st Choice Pregnancy Resource Center, Hope in Action 1 & 2, Hope Senior Citizens Center, Hospice of Hope & Texarkana, Junior Auxiliary, and The Byrd House.

Sponsorship opportunities are open to help recognize and uplift these hardworking agencies and their volunteers. Attendees will enjoy a red-carpet gala evening and a lively day of golf—each event packed with purpose and fun.

Gala Chair Shelly Short shared her enthusiasm, "The United Way of Hempstead County supports so many incredible organizations. It’s an honor to work alongside such a dedicated team to bring this event to life. We’re excited to raise funds and celebrate the amazing impact these agencies have on our community."

“The United Way Golf & Gala has seen tremendous success over the past few years. Our goal has been to raise awareness among local residents about United Way and the impact of our work in the community, and I believe we've made great strides in achieving that. I'm excited and optimistic about another successful year ahead,” said Gina Perkins, United Way of Hempstead County Executive Director.
