Then on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., a ceremony will be held to honor the contributions of veterans on the grounds of Memorial Plaza at the 1939 Hempstead County Courthouse.  After the ceremony, veterans and their spouses will be served free meals by the Hope Lions Club that will consist of fried catfish and all the trimmings.  Others can have a meal for $15 each.
