Volley Saints Claim Road Win Over Saline Co. on Monday Night
Little Rock- GMCS started off their season with a good road win over Saline Co., as they started off their 2024 campaign 1-0. Two high school games took place on Monday, as the Lady Saints claimed both of them to complete the sweep on Monday with the Jr. Team winning as well. 

Baylee Pogue serves were on point on Monday night, as she tallied 11 aces, including a run of 6 aces in a row. Pogue also added 2 kills at the net. Silbi Jones was pretty dominant around the net with 6 kills and a block, as well as serving up 7 aces of her own. Silbi Jones spoke on the Volley Saints win after the game, "Feels good to win the first game, we had kind of a slow start but we got the jitters out and we should be ready for the next game." Gracy Martin had a good all around game with 6 kills, 3 aces, and was all over the floor. Katie Holland served up 5 aces for the Lady Saints, as she was impressive on Monday night. "Feels good to start the season off strong with a win," Gracy Martin said after the win. Addy Peek had 2 kills and 1 ace. Four freshmen got some big minutes on Monday night, as libero Heaven Garcia had 8 digs and Laila Santifer had 7 digs. Savannah Fields had 6 aces and 2 kills and Brailyn Almand had 3 aces and 3 kills. 

Great team win on Monday, as they will look to improve to 2-0 on Tuesday as they travel to ACA. 

In the JV game, the Lady Saints continued their winning ways, led by Savannah Fields with 5 aces and 2 kills. Madison Faulkner was great around the net with 2 kills, Raylee Adkison had an ace and a kill, as well as made many other good plays. Brailyn Almand was all over the place, as she had 2 kills and an ace. Natalee Chunn had an ace and a kill to round out the scoring for GMCS.
