Hope- The Volley Saints protected home-court on Thursday as they beat Cornerstone in 4 sets 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 25-17. After a couple of bad performances early in the week the Lady Saints showed some grit as they bounced back in pretty dominant fashion. The Volley Saints combined for 26 kills including a team-high 7 kills by Silbi Jones. Baylee Pogue had 6 kills, Gracy Martin had 5 kills, and Savannah Fields had 4 kills. Katie Holland, Kynlee Glass, Addy Peek, and Madison Faulkner each had 1 kill.
Savannah Fields and Gracy Martin each had 6 aces, while Jones and Peek each added 5, Katie Holland added 3. Brailyn Almand and Baylee Pogue each had 2 aces, and Kynlee Glass added 1 ace. Addy Peek led the way with 4 digs, and Martin, Holland, Glass, Jones, Fields, Almand, and Laila Santifer each had 2 digs.
The Volley Saints are back in action this weekend in Magnolia at the Columbia Christian Tournament. Both GMCS teams will be competing this weekend.
