Volley Saints Take on Westside in 5-Set Thriller
Westside- The Volley Saints got a chance to avenge their Championship game loss this past weekend against Westside Monday night. The match was definitely a classic as it took all 5 sets to declare a winner, as Westside would win the final set 17-15 to take the match. GMCS won the second and fourth sets, with Westside claiming all the odd sets. Charity Zumwalt had 5 kills and 3 aces, as SWARK.Today Athlete of the Week Mikayla Fields had 6 aces and 2 kills. Silbi Jones had 8 aces and a kill, Tori Mitchell had 6 aces and a kill, with Kynlee Glass adding an ace. 

The Jr. Saints would drop the first set 25-19, but then would rally and win the final 2 sets 25-8, 15-7 to secure the win as they continue to steamroll through the season. Laila Santifer had 2 aces and 3 kills, Savannah Fields had 4 aces and 1 kill, and Brailyn Almand had 2 kills. GMCS is back in action Thursday for Senior Night against Lafayette Co. with the Jr. game beginning at 4:30.
