"Then in despair I bowed my head, there is no peace on earth, I said. For hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth good will to men." That line of the carol, 'I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" could well be said for today. As we look at our world, we can only see that there really is no peace on earth. But the Bible sings a different song. On that first Christmas night Luke's Gospel tells us that the sky was filled with angels singing, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace,
good will toward men." (Luke 2; 14) The newborn King brings peace to our lives, despite what is going on around us. On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, December 10, we will focus on, and celebrate
the Peace we find in Christ. My prayer for you is that your life will be filled with Peace this Christmas season.
