These are uncharted waters, and there are few options to move forward from here. We could allow frustration and anger to guide our actions, but every second wasted only delays the House's ability to pass legislation. We must come together for America's success and agree on the best path forward to get our country back on track.
We need a plan more than a person right now. Before getting ahead of our skis and forcing ever-increasing divides into our Conference, we need to take a step back, reevaluate, and develop a strategic plan to put our country back on the right path forward. If the Conference can unify behind a plan and agree to put the country first, we can move forward and find the best person to execute it.
I remain committed to doing what is best for the Fourth District of Arkansas and what is best for every American. We must be strategic in our plans so as not to drag this process out even further.
