Two walls that stood next to a building on Walnut Street in Hope fell after gale force winds hit the town at about 10:15 a.m. this morning.
Reports have come in about damage in the area caused by straight lines that were part of a severe storm system travelling across south Arkansas this morning.
In Hope, two free-standing walls were blown over, most of it crashing into separate bricks across a concrete foundation just off Walnut Street. At least one tree fell on a mobile home at Caney Creek Estates.
In Blevins, a tractor-trailer rig was blown over.
A severe storm warning had been called for Hempstead, Nevada and Lafayette Counties beginning at 10:48 a.m. and expiring at 11:30 a.m.
