Alert: Light icing will be possible tonight through late morning tomorrow in portions of the Arklatex and South Central Arkansas…
Cold air continues to slowly filter into the Four Station region from the north and northwest while a significant weather disturbance looks to bring widespread precipitation and even some isolated thunderstorms to the area tonight into early tomorrow.
Temperatures will remain above freezing in most of the region through this time, resulting in a chilly rain for most areas.
However, temperatures are expected to get down to around freezing tonight in portions of the Arklatex and South Central Arkansas and in these areas some light icing is a decent possibility, especially upon bridges and elevated surfaces.
Keep in mind the potential for light icing will not increase much in South Central Arkansas until late tonight, but could start later this evening in portions of the Arklatex.
