The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting a fish fry on Friday, March 18 as part of the annual Jonquil Festival. Fish will be cooked and prepared by the Hope Lions Club. The event will be from 3pm to 6:30pm. Cost of a meal will be $15 per plate. All funds raised will go to help the Washington Volunteer Fire Department in helping purchase fire safety equipment and supplies to help protect the community of Washington and surrounding area of Hempstead County. Come out and attend the Jonquil Festival and support a local Hempstead County fire department and receive an evening meal.
