Assisted Living week festivities at Hope Haven
Hope Haven recently hosted the Chamber of Commerce community coffee as part of “National Assisted Living Week”. Representatives from Wadley, Elite and Kindred Home Health, the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care, as well as business and government officials paid a visit to the local elderly in light of assisted living week.
Hope Haven Administrator Stacy McKee commented, ” Assisted living is about trying to sustain quality of life. It’s allowing residents to have quality of life while maintaining independence. It’s to keep them from declining where they still have some independence” McKee said. ” It is about quality,” McKee repeated.
Local quilter, Helen Shipp also displayed her handy work with a table of her handmade quilts. Shipp sells from her home or online. She has been in the business of making quilts for over 25 years.
