Betty Jean was the second born to Spence and Charity Dedner Wesson on June 10, 1941 in Silverton, Texas. Her sister Jeffie Rene was the first born then came JoAnn and Oscar after the family left Texas they lived for a short time in Muddy Fork, AR and on to Oak Grove, “Humper’s Neck” AR before settling in Nashville.
She departed this life on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Betty attended and graduated Childress High School with the class of 1959. After graduation Betty married James Lee Hannah and to this union two children born Micheal and Marsha. James “Sonny” preceded her in death. Later she met and married Lee Steward on October 18, 1968. Lee passed away on June 12, 2011. Lee and Betty were married 43 years and lived most of their married life in McCaskill. Betty was devoted to her family she loved being a grandmother and great grandmother.
Betty loved her church Dodson Street Church of Christ. She grew up next door to the church and was able to witness the ribbon cutting for the new building. Her other love was being a member of the Order of Eastern Stars Rosemary Chapter 190 Clow Arkansas and the Loyal Ladies Valley of Washington, AR.
She is survived by her son Micheal Hannah of Little Rock and daughter

Visitation will be 11 a.m.-5 p.m., wake 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mrs. Steward will lie in state one hour prior to funeral service. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Dodson Street Church of Christ, 206 West Dodson Street, Nashville. Burial will be at Center Point Cemetery in Center Point, Arkansas.
