The Hope Police Department, the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office and the Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club hosted Bingo Cooler Night at the Hope Fair Park Coliseum Monday evening in preparation for National Night Out happening tonight.
The three organizations ended up raising a little over $1,000 from the event. The proceeds will go towards the Hope Police Department Santa Cop Program and the Hempstead County Sheriff’s Office Shop with a Cop Program.
“It went great especially for our first time doing this,” Angela Gammage with Hope PD said. “The kids loved the obstacle course we set up and the parents had a worry free night.”
The people who attended the event also were able to eat, play bingo and win prizes that included coolers of different sizes with the grand prize being a large sized cooler.
