Upcoming Brucellosis Vaccination

Vaccination of heifer calves (4-12 month old) against Brucellosis is recommended and is available to you, free of charge, through the Arkansas Livestock and Poultry Commission and USDA-APHISVS. The vaccination day will be Monday, Nov. 4 th , 2019. In case of severe weather we will reschedule.

You must pre-register for this vaccination. Please call the Hempstead County Extension Office at 870-777-5771 to pre-register or you may email Stacey Stone at [email protected] or Sandra Kirk at [email protected]. We need to know the following information: the closest address to your corral, the number of cattle to be vaccinated and a phone number where you can be reached on that day.

You will need proper restraint facilities, which include a head gate.
