Civitans hear from Golden Care social worker

Sherryl Martin, social worker and marketer for the Golden Care unit of Wadley Regional Medical Center, recently spoke to the Hope Civitan Club, explaining that the 12-bed psychiatric unit cares for patients with dimentia, often from Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and other causes. She said patients are offered medication management, group or individual therapy and education, along with help in planning assisted living, home health care and nursing home care.
