Clark County is celebrating our 200th birthday this fall. The four-month celebration consists of numerous activities for the entire community. Throughout October and the first two weeks in November, we are hosting a series of free lectures each Thursday, which highlight a different time period of our history. Lectures begin at 7 p.m. at the Garrison Center at Henderson State University. Refreshments are served from 6:15 to 7:00. The lecture for Thursday, October 11 is on Clark County during the Civil War. Guest lecturer is Dr. Carl Drexler.
