On July 18, 1975, Donal Robinson, Sr. and Shirley Robinson (Kirby) welcomed an exceptional baby to the world; by the name of Donal Ray Robinson, Jr. As a child, Donal was a member of the Union Missionary Baptist Church. Donal attended and graduated from the Hope High School Class of 1993. In school, Donal was very athletic and participated in all sports. After graduating from high school, Donal attended Southern Arkansas University, where he was majoring in Psychology and Sociology.
Donal aka “Booga” and “Lil Dog” was a very loved person by many people. Anyone who came in contact with Donal would tell you how much of an impact he made in their lives. Whether it was with his laugh, his smile, the jokes he told, the advice he gave, or just his outgoing personality that showed what type of person he was. Donal was a role model, mentor, coach, friend, and brother to so many people.
Donal enjoyed cooking, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. Anywhere he went “Lil Dog” was the life of any party he attended. Donal loved hosting events at his home with family and friends where they: had good conversations, played dominos, argued about the games, and at the end the best part was putting them out because he didn’t want to hear any negative talking about his Cowboys. Donal also loved supporting his children in whatever sport, or academic accomplishment they were involved in or wanted to pursue. He was all of his kids #1 Fan. He loved Friday night football because he would stand by the end zone every game regardless of where it was at to cheer on his son “Dontrelle” who plays for the Nashville Scrappers. Donal coached several sports teams in Nashville. He was an outstanding father to all of his children.
Donal was employed with Husqvarna for over 25 years, where he served as a motor tester.
Losing a loved one is never easy, but the pain became bearable when you think of all the many times Donal gave his all to others, supported them, and loved them unconditionally. Donal will be missed by all of his family as well as friends. He departed this life into his Heavenly home on December 24, 2019 at the age of 44 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donal Robinson, Sr. and Shirley Robinson (Kirby).
