Doyle Shane Powell

Doyle Shane Powell, 45, of Patmos, Arkansas passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. Shane was born on February 1, 1974 in Lewisville, Arkansas to Doyle and Donna Powell. He attended school at Lewisville Public Schools. After high school he graduated from Red River Technical School where he was certified in refrigeration and air conditioning. He was a member of Lewisville Church of Christ.

On October 15, 1991 he was blessed with is first born son, Corey Shane Powell. A few years later he was blessed with his second son, Robert Todd Powell on January 8, 1996. Then on April 19, 1997 his baby boy, Kelby Michael Powell, was born.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, cooking, going to the lake and spending time with his family. He enjoyed pipeline work, but loved coming home!

On October 30, 2015 Shane became Papaw to Ryker Corey Powell. They were the duo of Shane P. and Ryker P.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Barney and Donie Powell and Otho and Wanda Green.

Shane leaves behind a family that he loved with all his heart. His parents, Doyle and Donna Powell; his sons, Corey, Todd and Kelby; grandson, Ryker; special family members, Ravyn, Madison and Morgan; sister, Angie Vickers and Mike; brother, Chris Powell and Bre; nephews, Dakota and Tucker Vickers and Tylon Powell; nieces, Jessie Vickers and Eva Powell. Last but not least he leaves behind a large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins, along with a host of friends too numerous to even count.

Special thanks to everyone that has lifted our family up in prayer. And a very special thank you to Gayla McDonald for loving us, holding us up and taking care of us when we couldn’t take care of ourselves.

Funeral services will be held at 10AM on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at A.O. Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mickey May and Bro. Jamie Knighton officiating. Interment will follow at Powell Hill Cemetery in Patmos, Arkansas under the direction of A.O. Smith Funeral Homes. Visitation will be 6PM-8PM Friday, October 4, 2019 at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
