Eugene Jackson Sr.

Brother Eugene Jackson Sr. was born to the late, Alice Mae Thomas and John Tensley Jackson on March 8, 1941 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Eugene was raised by his Great-Grandparents, Dennis and Alley Holloway.
He was called to be with the Lord on February 23, 2019 surrounded by his family and friends. He was a member of New Testament House of Prayer, in Hope, Arkansas under the leadership of Pastor Charles Smith.
Eugene graduated from Booker T. Washington in 1959. His career path led him to Ford Motor Company then on to KCS Railway where he retired as a Train Conductor in 2003.
Eugene married Bobetta Davenport on August 5, 1996. They were married for 23 years.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Alice Mae Thomas, John Tensley Jackson, and two siblings, Tommy Jackson and L.P. Jackson.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 23 years, Bobetta; six sons, Dwayne, Eugene Jr., Orlando, Shunta’, Fabian (Jamilla), and Paul; five daughters, Jerri, Lavetta, Zina (Mallory), Lorice (Mickey), and Chante’ (Craig). 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Two sisters, Geroalyn Jackson and Josephine Armstrong; and a host of nieces, nephews, godchildren, and beloved relatives and friends.
Visitation will be 11am-5pm Friday at the funeral home. Bro. Jackson will lie in state one hour prior to services. Funeral service will be 11am Saturday, March 9 at New Testament House of Prayer, 306 N. Ferguson, Hope. Burial will be at Westmoreland Cemetery in Fulton.
