Farm Credit of Western Arkansas donated $3,000 to the Organization for Youth Education in Agriculture at Prescott High School.
“As a financial cooperative, Farm Credit’s mission is to support our local communities,” Farm Credit Vice President Jerry Nance said. “In addition, Farm Credit is committed to ensuring more youth learn about the importance of agriculture.”
“Through this organization, young people who wouldn’t normally be exposed to agriculture are learning about it and understanding why agriculture is important,” added Farm Credit Director Steve Burke, of Washington.
