FCA All-Star Showdown Information

This June, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) will host 250 students (from 35 schools) and a host of coaches from across south Arkansas and east Texas to participate in a football game, boys’ and girls’ basketball games, baseball, and softball games.  The games will be divided Texas vs Arkansas and will take place in Texarkana.
On the Arkansas side, we have coaches and athletes participating from as far north as Polk and Hot Springs County, and as far east as Drew County. On the Texas side, we have participants from as far west as Lamar County and as far south as Marion County.

Our goal is to highlight the talented students in our community and give these seniors another opportunity to play the game they love.  The ultimate goal is to broaden the impact of the ministry of FCA by introducing more students and parents to the Good News of Jesus Christ.  Hundreds of students across south Arkansas and east Texas meet each week to pray, hear devotions, and study the Bible together on the public-school campus.  However, there will be students that are participating in the All-Star games that do not attend the FCA meetings or a local church.  This will be a guaranteed opportunity that they will hear the Gospel before moving on to college or the workforce.
This is a big undertaking that includes housing athletes for three nights/four days, media days, meals, equipment, Bibles, and awards.  We are not charging coaches or athletes to participate.  We are relying on individuals and businesses to join us in doing this for God and our communities.  There is already a lot of excitement and anticipation from all involved including parents and family.  This momentum will continue to grow into what we believe will be an event that people remember for a lifetime.Follow the Red River FCA facebook page for game start times and updates!
