Garland and Nowland Townships to be highlighted
Historical Society will do bus tour this Sunday

On Sunday, October 28, at 2 p.m. the Hempstead County Historical Society will provide a bus tour to Garland and Nowland Townships and the community of DeAnn and surrounding area. The tour will visit the eastern section of current Hempstead County and explore its history.
The Hempstead County Historical Society will be providing a series of bus tours each month to each of the different townships of Hempstead County as part of the celebration of the bicentennial of Hempstead County.
The bus will leave at 2 p.m. from Hope at the parking lot across from BancorpSouth at the intersection of 3rd and Elm Street. The tour will last a little over two hours.
Admission price for the tour is $10 per person and will go to support the Historical Society. Reservations are required.
The Historical Society seeks to bring awareness to the rich heritage and history of Hempstead County.
