LITTLE ROCK – Governor Asa Hutchinson provided today’s update on Arkansas’s COVID-19 response.
In its Thursday update, the Arkansas Department of Health reported 403 new cases; 4,261 active cases; 372 hospitalized, which is down 25 from Wednesday; 85 on ventilators, which is down 6 from Wednesday; deaths added today, 12, for a total of 5,273; a total of 323,756 cases; 247,719 recoveries; PCR tests, 8,154; antigen tests, 1,331.
The Health Department reported that the top counties for new cases are Benton, 64; Washington, 57; Garland, 28; Pulaski, 27; and Sebastian, 19.
Governor Hutchinson released the following statement on today’s COVID-19 numbers:
“Most numbers continue to trend in the right direction: new cases and hospitalizations are down; vaccinations are up by 13,571. This trend reflects our drive to beat the coronavirus. Let’s keep doing everything that we’ve been doing so that we can rid Arkansas of COVID-19.”
