FAYETTEVILLE – Posting on social media  a game action photo  captioned with “Grand Finale:  See you in 2021” Arkansas linebacker Hayden Henry announced his return as a sixth-year senior to the Razorbacks this 2021 season.

Because covid-19  shortened, interrupted and in some conferences entirely cancelled the 2021 fall sports seasons, the NCAA allowed men and women 2020 senior fall sports athletes the option of returning with 2021 senior eligibility.

A Little Rock native and Pulaski Academy grad whose father, Mark, was an 1988-91 Razorbacks offensive line and older brother Hunter,  currently starring in the NFL with the Los Angeles Chargers, won the Mackey Award while lettering 2013-2015 with the Razorbacks.

Younger brother Hudson Henry  lettered as a 2020 Razorbacks redshirt freshman tight end.

Hayden Henry, 6-2, 229, has lettered 2017-2020 variously playing middle, weakside and strongside linebacker.  Hayden played all 10 games for the 3-7 Razorbacks with 25 tackles including 14 solo and three for lost yardage including one quarterback sack. He also broke up a pass.

As a returning seniors for 2021, Hayden Henry joins  2020 seniors middle linebacker Grant Morgan; starting offensive linemen Ty Clary and Myron Cunningham; starting tight end Blake Kern; running back T.J. Hammonds;  defensive end Dorian Gerald; wide receivers De’Vion Warren and Tyson Morris and linebacker Deon Edwards.
