Hempstead County Courthouse Closed To The Public Due To COVID-19, Open By Appointment

Re-posting to clear up confusion. The courthouse is not closed. It is closed to the public at this time. You may call and make an appointment if you need to come in the building.

Effective Monday, July 20, 2020, Hempstead County Judge announces the following:

Due to the increase of COVID-19 in Hempstead County, for the safety of the Public and Employees, the courthouse doors will be locked again to the public and you must call for an appointment. 

 If you have to be here for Court let the Security Guards know at the front desk and they will give you instructions before you are allowed to enter the building.

Masks will be required upon entering the Courthouse and your Temperature will be checked at the door.
