Hempstead County Thanksgiving Schedule

Hempstead County service schedules for the Thanksgiving holiday have been released citizens can plan ahead and be aware of how it will impact them.

The Hempstead County Courthouse will close at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27 for the Thanksgiving Holiday and will not reopen until Monday, December 2.

The Hempstead County Road and Waste Department will be closed Thursday, November 28 and not reopen until Tuesday, December 3.

The Hempstead County trash pick-ups for Wednesday, November 27 and Thursday, November 28, will both be picked up on Wednesday, November 27. Trash pick-ups for Monday, December 2 and Tuesday, December 3 will be picked up on Tuesday, December 3.

Judge Jerry Crane said he and the employees of Hempstead County hope that everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving Day.
