In loving memory of Herbert Wayne Hartsfield.
Herbert Wayne Hartsfield, 94, of Hope, AR passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Wadley Hospital in Texarkana, TX.
He was born on October 19, 1924 in Hope, AR to John and Roxie Hartsfield. Mr. Hartsfield was a member of Garrett Memorial Baptist Church in Hope.
Herbert was a long-term employee for Ritchie Grocer Company in Hope for over 41 years. When he retired, he spent many a day fishing on Millwood Lake. His family meant the world to him, and he meant everything to us. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Wanda Cobb Hartsfield; his parents, John and Roxie Hartsfield; daughter, Judy Diane Hartsfield Jackson; grandson, Paul Jackson, Jr.; and son-in-law, Bobby McGill; four brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Hartsfield is survived by daughter, Gail McGill of Nashville, AR; son, Jerry Hartsfield and wife, Pam of Conway, AR; sister, Wilma Faye Reece; son-in-law, Paul Jackson of Magnolia, AR; five grandsons, Chris and Matt Hartsfield, Mark McGill, Phillip and Perry Jackson; two granddaughters, Michelle McGill Boulden and Heather Hartsfield Hopper; sixteen great-grandchildren and lots of extended family and friends.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2019 4:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery, visitation will be held prior to the service at 3:00 pm at Herndon-Fuqua Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Garrett Memorial Baptist Church.
