FAYETTEVILLE – Opponents from Arkansas’ Southwest Conference past will open the Razorbacks’ 2021 football season at Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
The Rice Owls, now of Conference USA, open the season Sept. 4 against Arkansas at Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville followed Sept. 11 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium by the old Southwest Conference archival Texas Longhorns, in the Big 12 since the 1996 dissolving of the SWC that Arkansas left after 1991 to join the SEC.
Arkansas hosts Georgia Southern Sept. 18 for a third consecutive nonconference game at Reynolds Razorback Stadium and close Sept. 25 in its SEC debut against the Texas A&M Aggies at the Dallas Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Arkansas’ game against Texas A&M marks the first of four consecutive SEC games with visits to Oct. 2 to the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens, Ga. and Ole Miss Rebels, Oct. 9 in Oxford, Miss. and back Oct. 16 to Reynolds Razorback Stadium against the Auburn Tigers.
The Razorbacks play their last nonconference game Oct. 23 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium for the first time playing the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lions.
After their lone open date Saturday, Oct. 30, the Razorbacks play an All-SEC November hosting Mississippi State Nov. 6 at Reynolds Razorback Stadium, visiting LSU, Nov. 13 in Baton Rouge, La. and visiting reigning national champion Alabama, Nov. 20 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. and closing the season hosting the Missouri Tigers, Nov. 27 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.
