Rev. Jessie Henry, President of the Brotherhood of Fulton, presents holiday hens to Sylvia Brown, Family Service Advocate for the Hempstead County Head Start campuses.
Henry said, “Every family deserves a healthy meal for Thanksgiving. This is just one way the Brotherhood gives back during this season and the year.”
There are two Head Start campuses in the County—Hope and Blevins—serving 60 families.
“Community partnerships are an important part of the Head Start experience,” Brown said, “To help a student be successful, we know that it’s important to recognize the community supports that are needed for the adults in their lives”
